STORY
A sweet antique pressed glass hand-shaped pin dish. Made by McKee Glass Company, this mini opaque milk glass sculptural form features a delicately modelled hand with softly defined fingers, accented by a raised floral motif at the wrist — a classic decorative detail of the period.
These dishes were originally intended for a vanity or bedside table, holding pins, rings, or small personal items. Today, they are collected for their whimsical symbolism of a helping hand and layer beautifully into both traditional and contemporary interiors.
This piece dates late 1800's-early 1900's, during the height of American Early Pressed Glass (EAPG) production, and reflects the era’s fascination with figural forms and decorative domestic objects.
